About Me

From 2015-2016, I was a graduate assistant teaching two college success courses and gained experience in practicums in Residence Life and Greek Life at Arkansas Tech University. In addition, I have years of customer service and leadership experiences.

From these, I have gained the ability to collaborate with diverse groups of people and functional areas, create detailed and organized plans and programs, and develop positive mentor relationships with students.

In August 2016, I put to work my knowledge, skills, and experiences as a recruitment coordinator in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. After two years working with high schools and community colleges in northeast Arkansas and Tennessee, I have begun a new role as the assistant director working with central Arkansas transfers.

I also enjoy reading, finding personal and professional development resources, and listening to podcasts. When I have time, I like to travel with my husband to see our friends and families.

"Ms. Boyd is an excellent teacher. I am a transfer student, and if it were not for this class and especially Ms. Boyd I would not have known near as much about Arkansas Tech
as I do now!"

- Student response in evaluation for TECH 1001: Orientation to the University

"Ms. Boyd's positive attitude was definitely a strength in this course. She made sure students had a thorough grasp of the concepts she taught, all the while keeping a smile on her face. Her positivity really did make all the difference."

- Student response in evaluation for CSP 1013: Principles of Collegiate Success

"I [came] to rely on her effective, independent, professional, and compassionate personality.... Brooke has developed a strong set of skills which have helped her become a seasoned professional. She has proven to be a very successful instructor, has developed the ability to prepare for the known and unknown, has a great understanding of students of all kinds, and has demonstrated an effective balance between boundaries and support with students. She understands the importance of patience, how to effectively communicate, and how to react effectively in difficult situations. I think you will find that Brooke Boyd's personable, professional, up-beat, no-drama personality will make her an asset."
