Ice Breaker/Team Builder

Purpose: Create an icebreaker or team building exercise that would be ideal for use during a student organization event.

Guidelines: You are a new student advisor, and you have 30 students ready to go, and not everyone knows each other. Be creative as you plan this event.
Student Interview

Purpose: Gather information from a student active in a student organization and learn about their experiences with their group and their advisor(s).
Advisor Interview

Purpose: Gather information from a current professional serving as an advisor to a student organization.
Advising Portfolio

Purpose: Create a new student organization that you will be advising and discuss your personal advising philosophy and project reflection.

Guideline: Include in your portfolio: Name of organization, mission statement, charter, budget, schedule, recruitment plan, and reflection.
